The Wild Wild West

When the going get’s tough, the tough get’s going. That’s how we roll out here in The Wild Wild West.

Personally, I dig the whole moccasin, Western look. I’m soooo easily inspired by the natives in this area. The colors, the atmosphere, the crisp clean air, the down to earth and wholesome attitude towards nature and life. It’s profound and indeed very healing…

Here are some looks and pics from my New Mexican lifestyle….

Tumble weeds have always fascinated me… And I have seen so many of them on my trip through California, Arizona and New Mexico. They are always busy tumbling around in the street going neither here nor there…. they seem so lost… with no direction…

I spotted a big one resting against a blue fence.

Even though it is peaceful I still think it looks alienated and sad in this world..

Today’s Outfit

It’s a beautiful, sunny day outside and the weather allowed me to break in my new Dr. Marten boots! Here is what I wore today:

I looove hats, they add that little extra to a simple outfit. I think everyone should have a straw hat in their closet for spring / summer. Since I lost mine last year in Spain I had to buy a new one, luckily I found a really nice one at H&M’s webshop for a ridiculously good price.

T-shirt Crush

I had dinner with my lovely and gorgeous girlfriend Malin yesterday. She was wearing this really cool t-shirt with amazing shoulder details on. It’s from a local fashion boutique in Barcelona that she couldn’t remember the name of so unfortunately I can’t tell you where to go buy it….

Long Live McQueen

Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2010 collection featured  stunning embroidery, deep colors,  heavy fabrics and incredible details. The collection reminded me of medieval fashion. The late designer’s final collection was presented in Paris yesterday and it was said to be a very emotional show. The collection was shown almost a month following the designer’s suicide. “It was well under way and the development was very much in final stages, so it was just about carrying on finishing the pieces … We had four weeks to finish his work, basically,” Chief Executive Jonathan Akeroyd said. These finished pieces included Mr. McQueen’s signature prints, a red dress embroidered with thousands of rustling gold disks, and a gold coat with a high collar made entirely of feathers, worn over a white tulle skirt. Take a look at my favorite designs from his final collection:

I looooooove these two looks from the new Celine collection!

Even though I’m on my wild road trip from Los Angeles to Sante Fa New Mexico and I’m enjoying the easy outdoor-life in the country side I can still appreciate the good things in life  – Fashion ;-)…
