First look: House of Harlow 1960 Footwear

I do not really care for celebrity designers. However, that does not mean that I will not acknowledge when a collection in which is designed by a celebrity offers something interesting. In this case, Nicole Richie is the latest celebrity designer whom has impressed me. She has decided to add footwear to her House of Harlow 1960 accesories line. My-Wardrobe.com will sell the footwear exclusively come January 2010. In the meantime, Ms. Richie is working at her ready-to-wear collection Winter Kate. The shoes have a tribal feeling to them and are just really versatile. One could easily pair them with jeans or a flowing maxi dress. Take a look:

Diptyque

I don’t know if you have heard of Diptyque? If not – it’s about time:-)  Diptyque makes the most amazing parfumes and scented candles. I must admit that I’m addicted. My favorite scented candle is the fragance Rose and ditto parfume is called  L’Eau” (I always get tons of positive comments when I wear it). I can certainly recommend you try it out.

Song of the Day

I’m in loooove with this song from Thievery Corporation. It’s so beautiful and sensual. It makes me want to learn French even more…

Introduction

370-1

370-2

370

I think an introduction is in order. Just so we can get to now each other. Hi! I’m Lotte, I live in Aarhus, Denmark and I’m 27 years old. My biggest interests are fashion and design.. so expect my posts to be mostly about that :-) My style can be summed up in three words – which the pictures also indicate: simple, classic and color-less. I love designer labels (my favourites being Alexander Wang, Philip Lim, Chanel and Acne) but often also finds great buys in highstreet shops. Besides blogging at Object Fashion Blog I also run the blog Afashiontale with one of my best friends, Marie. If there is anything else you want to know, don’t hesitate to contact me. I hope we will see a lot more of each other in the future.

Objection Please

Picture 9Since this is The Object Fashion Blog, I figured I’d try and illustrate what Object Collector’s Items are all about. The blog is only a few days old so let me introduce to you  the Winter/Autumn pieces of the Object Collection. This is, in my opinion, the best collection in which Object has ever offered. I will try and illustrate the looks in several blog posts. However, here are my top four favorite pieces from the Autumn/Winter collection. I’ve webbed photos that do not relate to objection but that are inspirational in between. Take a look:

02 Lotta Love02 Lotta Love

I have to Praise you Zooey because,  just because you know how to pose, how to sing, how to use your good looks and your smart head along with it.

Is this a girl crush I am having?

Might be Could be Should be: It’s her band She&Him I adore, her pretty dresses that go so well with her pretty big eyes and long brown hair that drops gently on her shoulders.

It’s not just how she looks, it’s the things she does and says. It’s her smart ass head that shines though her wonderful gowns an eyes…(and voice)

enough Already! Here she is!  I’d like to share with you all…

Now that fall is here I can’t help, but love this look. It’s so sexy, yet with a twist of uniform and still casual. Super model and style icon Erin Wasson is keeping it reel!

Ghazeleh asked the following question in the post below, “What happened to creation, where did the art of fashion disappear? Is there anyone out there who cares about individuality over consumerism?” the answer is yes. When I think of individuals whom express artistic individuality over consumerism, I think of models. Yes, models.

Models are expected to be fashionable on the runway. However, I have found that it is often when they’re off the runways that they express being the most stylish, unique individuals. When in New York, Paris and Milan models are everywhere and you can tell them apart from the crowd because of their effortless style. So what do you think? Who emphasizes the most on The Art of Invention regarding fashion? The designers behind it, or the models who wear their designs? Here are a few off-duty looks:
