Today’s Outfit

It’s a beautiful, sunny day outside and the weather allowed me to break in my new Dr. Marten boots! Here is what I wore today:

It’s all in the details…. Look at this amazing shoulder on my plaid jacket designed by none other than Object Collector Items.

Last night I went out with my friends for drinks at this piano bar, I expected it to be pretty lame but Im telling ya’ all it was rad. Seriously, we had a blast!

TUESDAY

My Tuesday turned out more weird than my Monday ending up in the Polo Lounge with my old girlfriend Mette. A reunion to put it mildly.

And do we feel the Academy Awards coming up? Oh yes sir! Ms Jennifer Aniston and Miss America Reese Witherspoon sat in the booth next to us… sorry – no pics of the them. I don’t do that!

But here are a couple of Tuesday mood shots….

Casual Weekend Goes…

This weekend I’m laying low. Fixing and sorting stuff and getting rid of old things. Love my Object jeans, easy Papfar top and vintage leather jacket. Jewelry from Nialaya.

But while I was downtown minding my business I got a call to meet a producer in The Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills Hotel to discuss a script. I didn’t have time to go home and change or to put on any makeup. So my ‘Casual Weekend’ outfit transformed into a ‘Friday-After hours-in-The Polo Lounge’ wear…

London Fashion Week 1

alexa

I got back from London yesterday. I wish I could have stayed forever :-) It has been some crazy days. In my upcoming post I’ll show you some pictures. You are gonna go mad about the people I meet. First up is this one of….. Alexa Chung. I am telling you, the girl is TINY. It’s from the Mulberry Afterparty (who btw showed a beautiful collection). I also meet Pixie Geldof and Olivia Palermo at the Mulberry party. At the Vievienne Westerwood-afterparty at Bungalow 8 later on there was quite a few celebrities as well – among others Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Vivienne Westwood and Josh Hartnett. Oh my :-) Can’t wait to share some more pictures with you, guys.

Party Like a Rock Star

My NYC based actress friend Kat and I did dinner at La Esquina followed by Mick Jagger’s party @ the newest club in NYC ‘Kenmare’. It’s actually so new it hasn’t opened yet.

We were seated in Jagger’s booth. Nice ;-)

Last Night Was Grand

lastnight

Girlsnight out with Leggy Lady Christina, Evil Cat Matilda and Hanna the Glitterbean :) It was grand, easily the best night in a long time, so much fun..

What I wore: Velvet Dress: Paris, Kate and I – Blazer: Chick with Guns – Belt: Gina Tricot – Boots: Sam Edelman – Bag: Alexander Wang

Too Fat?

Europe has been watching the fashion models’ BMI for years. Voluptuous is the new black according to Euro fashion gurus. Models are looking curvier on catwalks than they have in years. And even the waif tooth-pick style icon Kate Moss, who uttered the famous: ”no food tastes as good as skinny feels’ has been spotted a tad more ‘womanly’ (read with boobs and hips) than in her die-hard heroine chick days.

However, The New York City fashion Week has been hopelessly behind this trend for years. That’s why I was puzzled to pick up the news paper with this headline the other morning.

I met and photographed top model Coco Rocha backstage at the Rag & Bone show a couple of seasons ago and she was skinnier and taller than most of the models that day.

interesting and about time that a NYC news paper brings this topic up. I just hope that designers, fashion editors and teenage girls all over the planet hop on this new trend: Curvy is delicious. I’m tired of attending ‘anonymous under-eaters’ parties during fashion week.

ZINK MAGAZINE PARTY

First night in NYC in almost 2 years! I Effing don’t believe that I could be away for so long. But you know, once I got out of the cab in West Village it was like I never left.

That’s what NYC does to you; you become life long partners…

No time for shower or chance of clothes. Put on those crimson lips and then out.

I’m wearing my Versace Mongolian fur coat, no name tank top and my Object high waist riding pants.

Christel, The amazing photographer has shot a fashion story for the ZINK MAGAZINE March Issue 2010. You have to check it out!
