Just saw the new collection from Object and Tanya and I were like kids in a candy store.
I just flew in from NYC in the early am, totally stressed out about my living situation in LA, with a severe Summer cold from all the AC on flights between continents and countries and perhaps an admitted OD on a rock’n'roll lifestyle.
However, I managed to find a new home within 45 minutes yesterday morning, I paid my bills, unpacked, did laundry and dug out my old MAC (from where I’m writing right now. My laptop is still somewhere on the continent being repaired by Apple. That is why I have not been blogging lately. Sorry!). And after a shower and a little fun playing ‘dress-up’ in the new collection I was more than ready and happy to hit the Bardot Thursday Sessions by 10:30 pm. That is what I call one productive day.

This look is right up my alley when in LA. Boho chick, usable day and night and easy to move around in. I’d probably switch the handbag for a night out to a smaller purse.
Paris who…? haha ;-). Sorry…. No, I actually really like pink. And this jersey dress is great because it’s so easy and has the ‘Star Trek’ detailed shoulders.

Hugh Hefner saved the Hollywood sign, thank God! Well, it turns out that 28 year old architect Christian Bay-Jorgensen and the Danish architectual firm, Bay Arch, have proposed this awesome project called the “Hollywood Sign Hotel” … The project would make the Hollywood sign a hotel. Imagine if people actually vacationed IN the Hollywood sign? How awesome would that be? Gotta love my fellow Danes :)

Today I did a shoot where we went way back to the time where sparkly tights, teased hair, and an overdose of rouge on your cheek bones made the headlines. We are talking hot 80’s baby! It was flash dance meets high school sweet heart.

The clothes is a good mix of vintage and random stuff from my closet. I spot a leather skirt from Zara, a leather biker jacket from Object and vintage gloves. The star is an accessory I got as a gift from the last fashion show I did.

Here is a compilation of me at work. Or let me rephrase that: This is the more glamorous side of my work. At least it looks glamorous.
But when I’m not in front of the camera in makeup, sporting the best designers or working behind the camera shooting fabulous people and street trends there is the endless preparation of studying lines, auditioning, meetings, discussing budgets, trying to get enough sleep, eating healthy and staying sane in LA LA LAND. The later probably being the hardest part…
…And you have no idea how many trend reports and fashion articles I have written in my man’s boxers and a wife beater, no makeup, with pimples and hair in a simple pony tail. A bad visual. I know. Sorry for breaking the illusion ;-).
